What This Network Information Means

The results describe the information your current request presents externally as it leaves the network. They do not represent your device’s personal identity data.

IP

Public IP

Websites typically use your public IP to determine which network your connection comes from. After switching to a VPNOJ route, run the check again and compare the IP addresses. If the result is unchanged, first confirm that the client is connected, then check whether split tunneling rules are enabled.

LOC

Country and Region

The location is inferred from network address data and is useful for checking the approximate region of a route’s exit point. It is not precise geolocation and may be inaccurate as providers update their records. For region-restricted content, rely on the region actually shown by the target service.

ISP

Internet Service Provider

The ISP field identifies the network organization associated with the current public address. It may change when you switch routes. Use it to help investigate routing differences, but not as a standalone measure of connection quality.

PXY

Proxy Detection

This result reflects how the GeoIP endpoint interprets characteristics of the current connection. “Not detected” only means that this request did not reveal the relevant indicators; it is not a universal conclusion across every website’s detection methods. “Unable to confirm” should not be used to infer the connection status.

DNS CHECK

DNS Leak Check

Public IP and DNS checks examine different things. The former looks at the public address presented by web requests; the latter checks which resolver handles domain lookups. So even if the public location looks correct, that alone does not confirm that the DNS path matches.

  1. Record DNS Details Before Connecting

    Run a check with a trusted DNS testing tool. Note the network and region associated with the resolver to establish a baseline for comparison.

  2. Run the Check Again After Connecting to the Target Route

    Connect to a VPNOJ route, refresh this page to confirm that the public location has changed, then run a DNS check the same way. Keep the browser and network environment consistent for both checks.

  3. Compare the Public IP and DNS Paths

    If DNS results continue to show the resolver provided by your original network, check your operating system settings, the browser’s Secure DNS settings, and the client’s split tunneling rules. Disconnect and reconnect after making changes, then test again.
